I Love Illustration. LOVE IT! Not only does illustration push me to think outside of the box, it makes figure out new ways to turn work around in less than 24 hours. This last job was fun, but also exciting. Here is the breakdown: After turning in the roughs (last post) the client went with a less cut-and-dry sketch, with 4 walls. Here is the sketch I turned in, and yes I did it in less than 1 minute.
After getting approval for the new drawing, I went to work on the finished illustration. Unfortunately I did not scan a step by step production, I was in too much of a rush! Nonetheless, I finished the piece at 11:00pm, and set it out to dry for the night. I sent it off this morning, and am now off to work. What a life! I will post the final once the newspaper prints!
